In 90 degree temperatures, leather is the last fabric you’d
think to wear for a carefree, breezy summer. But, leave it to fashionistas like
Rihanna, Kelly Rowland and Rita Ora to make leather shorts and trousers look
cool. Leather has taken on a new life in past years with designers like Calvin
Klein, Celine and Jean-Paul Gautier popularizing it on the runway and stars
like Kanye West and Rihanna popularizing it on the streets.
While leather is a great staple for night time, breaking it
out in the day takes style skills. Now there are plethora of options from
leather shorts and culottes and seem to go best when paired with casual
t-shirts and crop tops.
