Duchess of Cambridge wears grey dress to match the weather at charity premiere... but her dazzling smile (and her pins) brighten things up

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked the red carpet last night as they highlighted Africa's threatened wildlife at the UK premiere of a big cats film.
William and Kate were dazzled by dozen of flashbulbs when they arrived for the screening of the nature documentary raising funds for the Duke's UK-based animal conservation charity Tusk Trust.
The royal couple, who celebrate their first wedding anniversary on Sunday, stepped from their chauffeur-driven car and walked the short distance to the BFI Southbank in London as banks of photographers shouted for their attention.
Kate was wearing a Matthew Williamson grey dress with three-quarter-length sleeves and deep turquoise and gold beaded details around the neck and sleeves, while William looked smart in a dark suit.
Mark Knopfler, lead singer of the group Dire Straits, was among the guests along with filmmaker Guy Ritchie and Dragons' Den judge Deborah Meaden, a patron of Tusk Trust.
The wildlife film tells the story of life on Kenya's plains for a pride of lions and a family of cheetahs as they battle for survival.
Hollywood star Patrick Stewart narrates the true-life story of cheetah Sita bringing up her five cubs in the Masai Mara game reserve and of Mara, a six month-old lion cub being raised by her mother Layla.
William is a self-confessed lover of Africa, its people and wildlife, and has worries about the current animal welfare crisis that has seen renewed interest from poachers in elephant ivory and rhino horns.
Demand from consumers in the Far East and China has seen prices for the animal products rise significantly in recent years.
Charlie Mayhew, co-founder of Tusk Trust which has William as its royal patron, said about the Duke:
'He's passionate about Africa and he's very concerned about the current crisis.
'We are now seeing daily reports of elephants being poached across the continent and in South Africa, the country has lost 170 rhinos already this year.'
He added that the number of cheetahs on the continent stands at around 10,000 to 12,000, while estimates suggest only 25,000 lions are left in Africa.
Mr Mayhew described the Duke's ability to get the wildlife message across to the public as vital for his charity's work and the efforts of others.
He said: 'It's enormously important and enormously valuable to have as our royal patron Prince William. His role, despite the Tusk agenda, on the global stage (is important) not just for our work but communicating the conservation message that everybody in conservation wants to get across. He's a powerful advocate for conservation in general.'
He added: 'Kate as we know got engaged to Prince William out in Africa and she's got the same general love of the continent as he has. She very kindly came to LA (with William) to launch our USA patrons circle. I cannot tell you how successful that was.'
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Matthew Williamson – ‘African Cats’ London Premiere
Yes it’s still raining in London, but that didn’t stop hoards of people turning up at the ‘African Cats’ London premiere to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Catherine looked beautiful wearing a Matthew Williamson Pre-Fall 2012 dress.
Her grey dress with a peplum waist was accented with turquoise, yellow and gold jewels embellishing the collar and sleeves.
A black clutch, black, probably LK Bennett, pumps and those enviable glossy tresses completed her look.
I prefer Catherine’s version over the model’s.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West step out in his 'n' hers monochrome.
It's getting hard to believe, as her sister Khloe contends, that Kim Kardashian's relationship with Kanye West is not serious.
For tonight the pair stepped out wearing the kind of coordinated couple's outfit that you'd only expect to see when a couple are well established.
Kim,31, donned an eye-catching black and white dress (which should've looked better than it did but strangely didn't work) while Kanye linked into this with a sweater in matching colours.

Beyoncé has earned many titles throughout her iconic career, and now she can officially add one more distinct honor to the list. PEOPLE Magazine has crowned her the “World’s Most Beautiful Woman,” on the cover of the weekly’s annual issue dedicated to the most stunning celebrities. It’s no secret that Bey has been one of the most gorgeous women on the planet for quite awhile, but with a new baby, Blue Ivy Carter, a legendary career, and the love of her life on her arm, this really feels like her moment.
The new mom gushes about the honor, and the new role that has much to do with her brand new glow: “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”

The 33-year-old Avatar star has opened up to the magazine, which hits newsstands on May 1, about how she grew to hate being a teen ballerina.
She told them: 'I had to quit ballet because it felt like a part of me was dying inside. It takes a lot of courage to face up to things you can’t do because we feed ourselves so much denial.'

Rebellious Rihanna Made The TIME’s Most Influential List.
It’s kind of ironic that Rihanna would attend the Time’s Most Influential People reception dressed like a uber goody girl (sans the newly black shaved head) in a pretty in pink Marchesa gown and black Christian Louboutins when we ALL know she’s a total firecracker.
Rumored to have started a bit of an uproar when it was announced that she was being acknowledged for being a pop culture influence by  Time Magazine, the original rebel fleur, didn’t let that stop her. She enjoyed the night in her girly girl attire and perfectly positioned hair. Rihanna chose darker make up for a more grunge beauty moment to play down her whimsical dress choice
Rihanna In Marchesa – Time 100 Gala.
Rihanna attended the Time 100 Gala which honours the “100 Most Influential People in the World” which was held at Jazz at the Lincoln Center in New York City last night.
The singer, who also performed at this event, wore a Marchesa Resort 2012 dress.
Her draped strapless fuchsia dress with a structured bodice and a voluminous skirt doesn’t work for me.
I don’t buy the ‘bad girl meets good girl’ image she’s trying to portray here. I also really don’t like the fit: the dress is too long and the silhouette makes her look boxy.
She opted for Christian Louboutin ‘Bois Dore’ heels which may have a crystallized heel, but from the front they are plain boring.
Wilfredo Rosado jewels, large curls and a dark berry lip colour completed her look.
The only thing I like about this dress on Rihanna is the colour.

She is never shy to flash some flesh but given the blustery conditions in New York perhaps Kim Kardashian was regretting selecting a leather skirt today.

Rihanna In Stella McCartney – Time 100 Gala Performance.
Rihanna was one of the performers at the Time 100 Gala held at the Lincoln Center in New York City last night.
The singer continued her love affair with Stella McCartney by wearing a look from the British designer’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.
Her jacquard ensemble – featuring a gold strapless top accented with a red-and-black top paired with silver pants and the same Louboutins from the red carpet – doesn’t work for me.
Not the style, the mixing of metals and most definitely not the bow.
If the model couldn’t pull it off, Rihanna should’ve taken this as a sign that the chances of her pulling it off were slim to none.
Rihanna, it just wasn’t your night.
