With her bright red silky top and matching embroidered
trousers, Jordin Sparks made for an eye-catching sight at a charity bash on
Saturday night.
The 22-year-old actress and singer teamed her bright outfit
with a pair of black Louboutin heels and an orange bag as she stepped out on
the red carpet of the 2012 Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Honouring the Promise
Gala.
The star posed alongside her mother Jodi Wiedmann who also
sported red trousers and a glittery black top as they arrived at the John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.
According to Just Jared, the American Idol winner paid
tribute to the leaders in the fight against breast cancer at the event, which
raised over $1.5 million for Susan G. Komen’s breast cancer programs globally.
Jordin also performed during the gala alongside The Sledge
Grits Band.
'Thank you so much @komenforthecure for having me tonight! I
had a blast singing for you!' she tweeted after her performance.
Jordin was most recently seen in the remake of film Sparkle
where she plays one of three daughters of Whitney Houston's character Emma.
She will next appear alongside Jennifer Hudson in drama The
Invisible Defeat of Mister and Pete, described as a: 'Coming of age story about
two inner city youths, who are left to fend for themselves over the summer
after their mothers are taken away by the authorities.'
