Tori Spelling reveals fourth pregnancy caused internal bleeding - and was close to having termination to save her
As reports circulated that Tori Spelling had been
hospitalised following the birth of her fourth child, husband Dean McDermott
brushed it off as 'tests' while she deflected the severity tweeting away.
But now the former 90210 star has revealed the truth, that
being pregnant with Finn nearly killed her.
While Tori was carrying her son, the mother-of-four was
diagnosed with placenta previa at the 20 week mark - a condition where the
placenta covers the cervix and causes internal bleeding.
'And I knew Hattie wouldn't. I was like, "Am I supposed
to make videos for them?"'
Tori also laments over not being able to hold Hattie since
she was five-months-old, and missing her first word 'dada', with the toddler
now dependent on Dean instead of her mother.
The 39-year-old was rushed to hospital, where she spent 10
weeks receiving treatment followed by four months of bed rest, and she was even
close to having her pregnancy terminated to save her life.
However, she battled through and gave birth to Finn Davey
McDermott on August 30.
Speaking of the incident, Tori told Us Weekly: 'When they put
him in my arms I was like, "We made it!" We have an insane bond.
We've been through hell and back.'
But more drama followed for the reality star and TV movie
favourite, as three weeks after Finn's birth, Tori's C-section scar burst and
she returned to hospital for emergency surgery.
Tori admits the biggest fear she had when she was told she
could die was leaving her three other children without a mother - five-year-old
Liam, Stella, four, and 12-month-old Hattie.
She added: 'I just remember thinking, "I can't leave
three children behind."'
Despite the physical trauma, Tori also opened up about the
emotionally draining experience of being in hospital, and missed Liam's
pre-school graduation and Hattie's fou
'Like, Liam will remember me, but will Stella?
rth birthday.
And when quizzed over whether she considered 'the worst case
scenario', Tori said: 'I kept thinking, at what age do kids remember?
