We’re
talking the magazine, not sin city, although the Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit
and Giuseppe Zanotti heels she wore on the cover would definitely fit right in
in Vegas.
Kelly’s the
woman in demand for the mag’s Summer 2012 issue and though she didn’t talk
about fashion at all, her glam looks are to die for. What Kelly did talk about
though, is her upcoming album, which she’s already working on and she says the
LP is definitely for the ladies.
“I am more
excited going into it this time than last time because I have a concept. I’m
making this album for my ladies, oh, yes, and it is strong.
The
31-year-old added, “All of the producers I’ve been working with get the concept
so much that they brought in a little more aggressive—and sometimes
masculine—approach, but there is a really incredible top line: I want to tell
women how incredible we are, how our intuition is so spot-on. Sometimes we
don’t listen to it, but it is the thing that can actually make us happier.”
Though her
fourth project is all about celebrating women, men should probably take a
listen too, Kelly says, not just because they’ll like it, but because they’ll
probably learn something too.
“I know that
men will buy it. Y’all will definitely buy it and sing to it. You’ll say, ‘I
can’t believe I’m singing to this!’ If you want to learn about women, listen to
my next album!”
We’re always
up for men learning a little somethin’ somethin’ about us. Kelly also talked to
Vegas about her Destiny’s Child days and life as an X Factor judge but we much
rather gaze at the gorgeous red Blumarine dress she wore for the shoot and the
fierce blue Tom Ford tuxedo pant suit she was shot in.
