GRAMMY AWARDS RED CARPET

Nice Grammys! Katy Perry marvels at scantily-clad Rihanna as singer is honoured with a pair of awards;
She could have had a wardrobe malfunction at any moment, which is why Rihanna must have needed pal Katy Perry to have her back - or her front, as it were.
The blue-haired pop star made sure that her longtime pal hadn't popped out of her dress at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards tonight.
It would have been quite easy for the 23-year-old Bajan singer to shimmy out of her slinky black Giorgio Armani gown.

The best friends clearly thought the other looked absolutely fabulous given the way they gazed at one another for the cameras.
The chart toppers couldn't resist posing coyly and provocatively, as Rihanna rested her hand on Katy's thigh.
Their performances might have added to their sensual behaviour.

Katy sang her new hit, 'Part of Me', while dressed in a scantily clad space age outfit.
It was her big comeback performance, her first major show since splitting with husband Russell Brand in December.
Indeed, she seemed to be singing directly to her ex as she triumphantly warbled the words: 'This is the part of me that you're never gonna ever take away from me/Throw your sticks and stones, throw your bombs and your blows/But you're not gonna break my soul'.
Meanwhile, Rihanna showed off her toned midriff in a cropped shirt and tight trousers while getting frisky with a male dancer on stage.

She may not have walked away with an award for the mantlepiece last night, but Nicki Minaj certainly stole the show at the Grammy Awards with a jaw-dropping performance.
As if singing in front of a live auditorium and a television audience of millions isn't bold enough, the 29-year-old also levitated in mid-air, had a melt down in confession and endured an exorcism.
The rapper arrived at the Los Angeles already in costume, draped head-to-toe in a scarlet Versace creation designed especially for her, before wowing fans with the breathtaking stage show.

But revenge was sweet for Taylor Swift last night, as the 22-year-old singer won not one, but two Grammys at last night's coveted awards.
The singer scooped both the Best Country Song and Best Country Performance prizes for the Platinum-selling track.
For her performance of Mean, the singer went back to her country roots, slipping on a loose vintage floral dress with a petticoat peeking out from underneath

'We've had a death in our family': Music world puts on united front as Whitney Houston's death casts shadow over Grammy Awards
The music industry was united in their grief last night as the Grammy Awards were dedicated to the memory of Whitney Houston.
Singer LL Cool J, who hosted this year's awards, opened the event with the words: 'There is no way around this - we have had a death in our family.'
A moment's silence was followed by a prayer led by LL Cool J in which he said the world was left with Houston's 'lasting legacy of music to cherish and share forever'.
The awards were dedicated to the memory of the legendary singer as the star-studded audience was shown a clip of Houston's famous 1994 Grammy's performance of I will Always Love You.
LL Cool J then finished the tribute with words: 'Whitney - we will always love you.'

Lady Gaga plants a kiss on Paul McCartney as she slips into dominatrix outfit at Grammys
She may have shunned the red carpet at tonight’s Grammys, but Lady Gaga didn’t disappoint in an outfit as bizarre as ever.
And Paul McCartney, 69, certainly seemed to appreciate her interesting attire as the pair caught up inside the awards ceremony.
25-year-old Gaga was seen planting a big kiss on The Beatles singer’s cheek, as he feigned a shocked face and held her hand.

Gaga was draped in a mesh bodysuit which also covered her face and had a long train that was attached to her hand.
She wore a black and gold plastic dominatrix-style corset over the sheer number, and also carried a large gold sceptre as a prop.
The Born This Way singer was sat next to country music couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert to watch the awards show.
